Quiet Garden Publishing House is pleased and thrilled to announce the winning Manuscripts of the first ever Christian Writing competition in Uganda.
We take this opportunity to thank all those who participated in this writing competition.
And the winners are:
1st Place: “Woven in Spirals” by Rev Diana Mirembe Nkesiga
A memoir that highlights challenges about Women Ordination in the Anglican Church and the author’s struggle to achieve her dream of being ordained.
The Winner takes home a cash prize of $550 and the promise from QG to assist with publication according to terms and conditions.
2nd Place: “The Storm” by Joy Ochwo
Demonstration of suffering through stories from Uganda. The author ingeniously combines Scripture and Psychology to bring the point home.
The First Runner-up takes home a cash prize of $130.
3rd Place: “Saving Love” by Lillian Tibasiima
A touching story about today’s problems such as rape, rivalry, abortion, prostitution and school girls challenges which are finally conquered through the love of Christ.
The Second Runner-up takes home a cash prize of $100.
Honourable mention goes to:
Mercy Twikyirize for “The Rise of Haddassah” and Liz Nakandi for “Songs of the Heart”.
